With Base Camp's Teamwork and Problem Solving field trip curriculum, home school students aged 5-18 can learn about working together to solve various challenges presented. Developed to the Minnesota State Standards, interactive activities may include:
- Archery range (teaches concentration on accomplishing a goal)
- Climbing Wall (teaches working together to reach the top)
- Trust games (teaches reliance on others)
- Problem Solving activities such as Flip the Island and Traffic Jam
Home School Field Trip days allow individuals and families to register for participation at a rate of $15/student. Parents/teachers are encouraged and welcome to attend with their children at no charge. Field trip session runs from 9AM to 2 PM. Base Camp is located near Fort Snelling.
Participants should bring a bag lunch and a water bottle. And dress for the weather – some of our activities could be outside. All families need to sign and bring our Base Camp Waiver form which you can find here.
From 2-4 PM, Base Camp will also offer High Ropes experience for students aged 13-18. This session cost an additional $10/participant (parents and students).
