Programs for Scouts

Like all Northern Star Council camps, Base Camp can be reserved and used year-round by Scouting units or districts in a variety of ways. Units may choose to rent facilities for a full day, evening or overnight, with varying degrees of Base Camp staff support.

  • Indoor Natural Climbing wall - replicating the rock surface at Taylor's Falls
  • Bouldering Wall - for Cub Scouts
  • COPE High Ropes Courses - both indoor and outdoor
  • Outdoor Climbing Walls - with a year-round "ice-climbing" panel
  • Indoor Archery
  • A Library/Resource Room with maps and tools to help plan expeditions
  • A Craft/Activity classroom for Scouting projects
  • Lock-ins and retreats
  • Center Court - great for Court of Honors, Blue & Gold Banquets and Eagle ceremonies

The program possibilities are nearly endless! Additional programs are offered throughout the year - see our current Base Camp Program Guide for details of current offerings. Certification is also available for unit leaders to lead their own programs using our facility.
